When we hire people to make repairs around our homes, we expect the job to be done right and that our homes will remain safe to live in. So, what do you do when a contractor fails to do his job correctly and several people suffer because of it? Well, in our situation, we hired a personal injury attorney to help us out. We had a new deck built on the back of our home. The deck was roughly 15 feet from the ground and was to be built sturdily enough to support up to 20 average size adults. When we had only 12 people, including children, on the deck, it collapsed. I created this blog to help others find the right course of action after such an incident.
